Wow. There are soo many lonely women on the internet looking for love

You're fine pp. And I agree with you. It's not a nice thing to assume that a 40 ur old never married man is some sort of scum bag. Although at 38 I only know one male who meets that description. He's not at all scummy but very set in his ways and very particular about the women he dates.

I think there are a lot more lonely men than women out there. Once men are married, they cannot live without it and remarry faster. It is also much easier for a woman to find a sex partner.

Most of my single friends say online dating sucks horribly.

Male here.

Yes, it sucks. Too much BS to setup...too much BS to read through.

If anything, just jump on Tinder. It is like Online speed dating. No big profiles to set up, no big profiles to go through. Someone looks attractive? Swipe right. If they match, start a conversation and see where it goes. Meet a few people, close down tinder for a few months, and see if anything comes from the new people you meet.

Tinder only really works for the top 20% in looks and defintely not very minority friendly IMO.

Okc is decently effective.

I'm pretty sure the dates and hookups I've gotten through okc would've never happened on tinder

Now in their 30s-40s, never a LTR, never married, and no kids?......WATCH OUT. Something is wrong with those ones.

100% agree. They're not just scum and rejects, they're essentially worthless. Watch out indeed.

That's not a nice way to look at people. I don't think I like you.

Why are you the only poster who's reacted with disgust to my post? According to the original poster, these are society's rejects. He felt it was important enough to write about it in the first place for a reason. Since you're the only poster who's posted critical remarks about my comments that simply agree with him, what does that tell you?

I read your remarks and thought they were utterly ridiculous, as well as the OP, but I just didn't post. So don't take silence as agreement.

Well that's good. Better brush up on your intellectual prowess and quit sourcing People magazine. Despite your hypothesis, I doubt your looks alone are going to have those 20 year old hotties flocking to you even though "you are getting better with age". Whatever that means.

Many of my male friends in their late 30s and 40s have no problem with this. Their looks are average, but they're also well-spoken, confident, and just plain interesting people to talk to. If you think of the typical 20 year old guys that they compete with for the attention of a 20's hottie, it's no surprise they have success in getting her.

No, a 40-year old guy who is a slob and boring will have no such luck, but most of the non-married guys I know in that age range aren't like that. Maybe they take mroe care of themselves because they need to, being single.

Um, no. As a 25 year old I can tell you that most 40 year old dudes hitting on me and my friends totally gross us out, no matter what scenario you saw in a porn or Woody Allen film. Sorry to break it to you, but women care about looks just as much as men, and 40 year old men simply cannot compete with a 23 year old guy- there is no comparison in terms of body, face, all that. Not to mention the social stigma of your friends thinking you're a loser because you're willing to entertain the attention of some old creeper.

If you are 25, and a 10, I would agree with this. At 25, the wisdom of a 40 year old isn't that appealing unless you are missing something. Unless he is a millionaire and looks 25 as well, then it is just fun.

There aren't as many 10s as people like to think...
And there aren't as many 40 year old Rico Suaves swatting off the 25 year old 10s as people would like to think...
There are like 5 total combined

My DH (40s) has always said if a woman is in her mid-30s and has never been married, never had any children, and is really attractive, barring some rare circumstance, something is seriously wrong. He and his friends would follow the man code to stay away from a woman like that and keep crazy at bay.

So they'd be chasing her down if she had had some kids out of wedlock? Somehow I doubt it.

Okay, so sounds like my irony was a little too subtle for you.
