I'm sure I will have more.

I had bulimia when I was in my twenties. I'm paying for it now.

I'm in the same boat as you. It seriously sucks. Wish I could shake younger me and tell her to stop. The sad irony is with the money I've spent on tooth surgery I could have gotten extensive lipo, a boob job- all the things I hated so much about my body. Fate has a cruel sense of humor.

Yeah but thank you for posting. After seeing all the "2 crowns and I'm 60" posts I felt so depressed. Oh well. I guess we had to learn that very expensive lesson.

Not so much in my family. I'm one of 6 children all raised on non-floridated water. I have 2 root canals & 5 crowns (40 YO). I have 3 siblings, no cavities, the remaining 2 have some fillings. No root canals or crowns. We all ate a similar diet.

We really should. I am 26 and already 3 root canals and several crowns. Approaching 10,000 in dental costs and probably will be much more. Of course, I never thought it would actually happen to me. I thought all the warnings were just bluster. Hell of a price to pay.

Lots of fillings. I hardly have any teeth that have not been treated.
I take excellent care of my teeth but they seem to fall apart easily.
Because I spend so time and money at the dentist, my teeth actually look great.

1 filling, but I still doubt the need for that. First and last visit to that dentist.

Do have receding gums now and really need to get better about flossing.

My husband's had extensive work on his teeth. Many fillings, which have all been replaced with porcelain over the years. 1 cap. Just had his 2nd or 3rd root canal. 1 crown. (Insert comment about stereotype of British/Irish teeth)

43 - never have even had a cavity let alone a root canal, crown, etc. I can take no credit for my dental health as I only had intermittent dental care as a child and as an adult I am not the best. I rarely floss. I had very crooked teeth, though, and only got braces as an adult. I am neurotic about my kids dental health and orthodontics, though.

3 root canals and crowns. Now 2 missing back upper molars due to 2 being done improperly. 1 remains on the bottom and seems to be going strong. This was all before I even turned 20. Tons and tons of fillings. Bad genes and my mom never took us to the dentist until we had a problem (yes I have a lot of resentment towards her for that.)

Zero other dental work. A few cavities filled in childhood. One might need replacemeny with crown this year.
