If you like Broadway shows, Show Business: The Road to Broadway, is terrific. |
yes, where they dismantle the myth about the lawsuit against McDonald's. Worth seeing! |
I think it's called "Paycheck" -- on HBO and produced by Maria Shriver's foundation. Incredibly well-done documentary that's had me thinking for months. |
Born into Brothels |
112 Weddings. Saw it on HBO so am not sure if it would be on your providers. A wedding videographer follows up on many of the couples he filmed. |

Terror in the Mall.
About the Westgate Mall Islamic terrorist attack in Kenya. Fascinating but I didn't sleep after. |
I just watched this on HBO, learning the timeline/chain of events in detail was stunning especially when it becomes clear how much the plainclothes/civilian response lead much of the immediate rescue effort. |
It was called Paycheck to Paycheck, and it was very good. 112 Weddings didn't grab me. |
The crash reel
About snowboarder Kevin Pearce and his traumatic brain injury; I thought it was very good |
Paris is Burning. It's from 1990, but it's on Netflix instant watch and it's quite good. I wish they had an epilogue; I had to search all the main characters out name by name on google (that was depressing as hell, by the way, which wasn't unexpected, but still). |
Not sure if it's listed already, but The Queen of Versailles was just awesome and stuck with me for a long time. About a real estate mogul and his wife and that's all I'll say. |
Just watched "We Steal Secrets:The Story of WikiLeaks". I thought it was really interesting. |
Bump. I finally saw 20 feet from stardom recently and it was great!!!
