Infertility Support and Discussion
Congrats!!! I guess the morula decided to stick around after all! I too had OHSS when I was 38 and had an early BETA. Normally SG refuses to give early BETA's! I'm so happy for you!
I got the OK to start stimmimg today! I had 16 antral follicles and my estrogen was 43. Wish me luck!!! |
GL. I guess they decided to be nice to give me something to look forward to. |
Thanks!!!

| Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
| op here: thanks. had bit of scare with some spotting and cramping but beta rising so embie hanging on. thanks again for all the support. GL to everyone. |
| this was the morula and 8 celled embryo you transfered on day 5 correct? |
yes! can you believe it ? one or both took. i'm still cramping and spotting. re not sure why but since beta is rising , we're good. |
How long did the ohss symptoms last. I had almost 2 liters apirated on Sunday and prob will need to go back in for more tomorrow or Friday as it is getting tight again. How's the stim going? |
Sounds like it could be a strong singleton. hard to believe because that was a morula, as you would think your BETA would be a little lower because it's slower to develop. You never know? You can't just rely on HCG to determine. |
For me, my OHSS was BAD so it started to go down after week 10 of my prgnancy. I had day #3 stim appt. today, which I thought I would never get to but I could because my DD daycaare was open. It looks like I am progressing the same as 2.5 years ago. Let's hope this is a good omen!

OP here: if oyu don't mind me asking, did they transfer at day 3 or day 5? It looks like we're doing a day 5 transfer and I'm wooried about complications if they put in 2 and both take, esp with higher risk of prematuiryt with twins. of course it didn't help that I was watching TLC's "Deaf and Blind Triplets" last night. Thanks.
Please stop watching those shows ...they will just add to your anxiety. I have IVF (fraternal) twins and they are big healthy 2 year olds now. They were born 6 weeks early but the vast majority of twins do just fine. If you get twins, join your local Parents of Multiples club! |
OP here: just got back this afternoon from my 2nd fluid aspiration this time they got less, 1.5 liters vs the almost 2 liters last time. Today was the original date to check my beta and it was almost 600! Yeah! Hopefully a healthy singleton but I guess there's a chance for twins, we'll know in 2 wks when we get our 6 wk u/s.
Glad to hear the stim is going well. GL |

I need to stop watching those shows. Turns out the triplets were born at 24 wk! very very early. Praying for at least 34 wks gestation baby, who is healthy. |
OP here: doesn't look like the morula which implant continued to grow. Our OB sono shows it stoped growing early, no yolk sac or fetal pole. We go back for another beta and sono tomorrow but it's not looking good.
