op here: just got back. 4 embryos still alive. we transferred 2 but they were noy quite blasts, so we're hoping all is still good. since the other 2 have to be blasts to be frozen not sure if they will make it to being frozen. on bedret now, slight cramping but otherwise ok. we'll check blood test in 2 wks. thanks for all your support.

even early blasts have a great success rate. My friend actually transferred 1 morula on day 5 and got pregnant!

Good Luck!!!

op here: Thank you! I've been reading also the "Lesson I learned..." thread about ivf and doing my bedrest.... really hope this works. Can't help wondering if we should have transferred 3 since the embryos were not quite blasts, so prob less chance of pregnancy. We won't know if the remaining 2 will be mature enough to cryofreze as they need to be at least blasts. Part of me also wonders if we should have done day 3 transfer. Trying to stay positive but have to admit, I'm still a bit concerned. Hopefully like the stories other have shared about people becoming pregnant with morula, we will too.

OP here: got some sad news today that the embryos did not make it to freezing. So really hoping the 2 et are still alive and thriving in my uterus. please send positive sticky thoughts. Thanks.

Sorry you didn't have any to freeze but hopefully one or both of your blasts will stick!!! Did they do AH on your blasts? I think Shady Grove does AH on all blasts if you are 39 or older.

Yes, I believe so. We had discussed doing everything, icsi (hubbie with low %) and ah. I really hope we have a wonder healthy baby in 9 months. With the OHSS I'm having now and previously with iui and all the time lost from work, etc. This is it for us. Thank you for all your support......sticky sticky thoughts.

Don't worry about not having any blasts to freeze. Shady Grove is really picky about what they will freeze and many women get pregnant without having something to freeze.
For my age (34), antral count and FSH (both normal) my doctor quoted me a 40% chance of having any blasts to freeze (based on their data base of thousands of past patients). This percentage only goes down with age and yet most people doing IVF are older than 34.

Yikes! didn't realize those stats. Since I'm turning 39 this year, I can only imagine how low my % would be. Really hoping on of the 2 embryos found a warm home in my womb and is growing nicely. Any suggestions on how to lessen the sore lump on my bottom that I get after the pregesterone IM injections? My poor bottom is so bruised and sore. I'm able to give myself the injections on my right side as I am right handed but rely on my hubbie to give the one on the leftside. He's out of town on business for 2 days, so it's up to me. I think it doesn't help that my OHSS swollen abdomen gets in my way of reaching around.....I had to laugh at how I look pregnant before I even know I am. People look at me and smile thinking I'm pregnant. I hope no one asks when I'm due b/c if I say October, I'm sure they will be shocked.
