I've been using natural family planning for 18 years. I have 3 children. With each child I got pregnant on the day I choose to have sex I was ovulating. I have never had an unwanted pregnancy. It works very well when done right. There are CLEAR signals the body gives when ovulating.

The OP was probably not being careful enough with her charting. Just the same as someone can forget to take a pill or a condom can break.

BTE, my girlfriend got pregnant ar the age of 44, her husband had a vasectomy 10 years prior. She too was devestated. She had one child off to college and the other 2 in highschool.
