| NP Here- similar sores to last PP- NNAT 160, cogat comp 127, 14 GBRS - all 4s first and second grade (so far), level II services for both math and language arts.. missing the cogat has me wondering if our son will get in.. |
| We too are in same situation..other's past experiences will surely help to plan ahead and next steps. |
I don't remember exactly. The NNAT was in the high 140s and the CogAT was around 75% (they reported it differently last year). It's definitely possible to get in with a low CogAT if the rest of the file is strong. |
| pp, low Cogat is the kiss of death. I suggest starting to look at private schools if your dc had cogats in the 75th percentile.....Former FCPC AARt here.... |
|
"Kiss of death" - Sounds about right.
You pay an arm and a leg to buy a property in a good school district, then put your DC in private school? why bother living in FFX cnty and pay all this ridiculous taxes? |
The poster that had the 75% was posting scores of her child which was accepted into AAP (not asking). |
No need for private school. DC is doing quite well at the AAP center even with a low CogAT score. |
I don't believe you're a former AART. |
| Why don't you believe it? She sounds knowledgeable.... |
| When I checked with our AART, I was told that the GBRS can't be disclosed before the AAP result. |
This does not seem to be consistent from school to school. When I checked with our AART, she made me a copy of the entire screening file (including the GBRS with Commentary) after the file had been sent on to central screening. |
"ridiculous taxes" Our taxes are actually quite low.
|
No, she doesn't. Tell me what in her statement would make her seem knowledgeable. Is it the part that says "kiss of death" and refers to private before suggesting meeting with the school, considering AAP isn't a good fit for her child, etc.?
|
Or maybe the part where she wrote "FCPC AARt"
|
Baffles me why someone would come on here and lie. A dating site I can understand - but not on this site about things like this. Stupid. |
