FxAT came home in Friday folder: Quantitative: 121 Nonverbal: 129 Composite: 131 Maxed NNAT and so should be in the pool. But haven't received the letter yet. Wondering if we should submit additional materials since FxAT results are not ideal. Child feels really bored at school. |
We submitted additional materials for our child (now in 6th grade AAP) in same scenerio. Don't know if it helped get them in Level IV |
Thanks! Did the form state what percentages those scores were? Seems like a sure thing to me with the high NNAT score. |
| I'd say it depend on gbrs. Kids sounds well rounded though |

I submitted materials for my DC (now in 5th grade AAP) even though both test scores were above the benchmark. My rational was:
-I would feel bad if DC didn't get in and I could have done more -In this type A area - submitting nothing might make the panel think we didn't care/wouldn't support DC enough and that would hurt DC's chances HTH |
| FCPS principal here: we received the FxAT individual scores yesterday. They will be picked up for US mail on Monday morning. I imagine that if your school didn't send them in folders today, they will also be sending them out Monday morning. |
| Anyone have a child at Shrevewood? Have you heard anything yet? Thanks. |
In-pool letter arrived in the mail today. No CogAt score yet. Same here, don't want to name school either but it hasn't been said yet. |
Yes. There are two percentage columns: age percentage (national) and local percentage (born in August, and so age percentage much higher). Verbal: 131, 97%, 96% Quantitative: 121, 91%, 78% Nonverbal: 129, 97%, 91% Composite: 131, 97%, 92% Thanks to those who suggested additional materials. We'll at least do the questionnaire. Elder sibling went to AAP and really liked it. |

When did the schools kow about the "in pool" designations? What date? Thx! |
Please tell us the school's name - your are making us all curious. No one would know who you are, would he/she? |
| Our in-pool letters and scores came home in folders today. Eagle View elementary. |
Care to share the scores? |
Not wowed by the quantitative scores -- it is likely your DC will be behind other AAP kids in math. |
