No childcare expenses or car payment, DW is SAH with 1 DC. But it is still tight, I am hoping to have at least $300 left each month for the rainy day. |

| Take home about $17,500, PITI is $2420. Our mortgage is our only debt. We are making significant extra payments on the mortgage each month (balance is about $275k) and hope to have it paid off in 5-7 years well before the kids start college. |
We are at $14K take home and $2,200 piti. I dream of the day I hit $17k take home... That would open up some crazy possobilites. Kudos to you for living well below your theoretical means. |
