| We net $18,000 a month. Mortgage is zero. |
This is 12/5 8:54am. We are in practically the same boat. It does suck. Our only good news is that kid is in public school now (started kindergarten) but there is still the aftercare payment. |

Just over $9k take home combined.
Mortgage with tax and insurance is $2400. |
| I bring home 4532 a month...I rent in a shitty SW apartment for $960 because I am saving $1200 a month towards a house (Have $23K so far). I get no taxes taken out. The money I bring home is after I have paid my medical insurance and 5% into a 401K. I live off $67K a year. I make $36K in bonuses which I use to pay taxes and am saving for the house as well. I also have a car payment and student loans. I carry some credit card debt because $67K is tight for a family of 3. I always pay the credit cards off in May with my largest bonus check. I will have $50K saved by the end of next year. One more year of savings and then I will buy something with 20% down in Florida where I will more than likely make around $80K and have a nice big house with a pool instead of a shack in DC with no yard and roaches. |
| Take home about $12K. Mortgage (PITI) is $3500. |
| Take home $11,500, PITI $2600. |

Take home 12K
PITI 3K |
| Bring home ~15k and mortgage is 2k. We were lucky enough to get in before the bubble. |
| $9000 take home, mortgage is $1500. |
| after taxes and 401Ks we bring home about $18K. Mortgage is $2900. |
3k seems like a small mortgage for someone who entertains 20-30 people regularly. How big is your house? Where is it? Did you buy a long time ago? How much do you save (retirement, college, investments)? |
