I'm a huge Beatles fan, but some of their lyrics are problematic. John Lennon was known to be violent with women, and there's a lyric in "Getting Better" that talks about beating women.

No, I would never condone physical or verbal violence against any woman, and I wouldn't tolerate it personally. I posted the rest of the lyrics to show that it didn't continue with an excuse for cruelty but he was trying to clean up his act.

I have looked and listened to several rap songs (I happen to like old school Kurtis Blow, Sugar Hill Gang, Salt 'n Pepa), and I keep waiting for the apology or at least she ain't a whore no more. That is what I am not hearing and why I have problems with some rap. I, too, am a big Beatles fan but what I am looking for is an understanding that what disrespectful things you do to women is wrong and, at least, you're trying to clean up your act. Again, I'm not hearing this in rap.

I love rap and hip-hop.
I don't like violence, mysogony, or the big money glorification.

I'm the poster that said I didn't have a single rap song on repeat. I don't like rap just like I don't like country. A few songs slip in here and there but for the most part I don't enjoy it.
