Homework assignment: Ask your children what they are listening to and come back w/ a song. |
That's a classic song!! |
| M.I.A. "Bad Girls" (and I gave Lil Debbie's "Ratchets" a hate-listen) |
| I still listen to constantly: Timbaland & Pitbull - Pass at Me (or is this hip hop?). I mainly listen to hardcore punk and two-tone ska. |
DS is currently listening to Trip Like I Do by The Crystal Method. DD is listening to Shake It Out by Florence and the Machine. |

Rap = crap
All my kids itunes downloads go on my phone, too so I know what they are listening to and it sure isn't rap. |
| I had to turn it up earlier when ice cube's 'today was a good day' love that song |
Love x10 bad Girls |
What about their illegal downloads? J/p |
| Robin Thicke - "Blurred Lines" ft. Pharrell, T.I. |
| I am keeping it old school with Biggie and "Big Poppa" |
|
I just discovered Macklemore about a month ago.
Faves: Vipassana Wing$ Jimmy lovine Akon has been a favorite of mine for years. I rarely express sympathy for posters, but I feel sorry for the "rap=crap" poster. There's art and skill to it, even if you don't want to take the time to try to appreciate it. |
Yeah, I love old school rap. Don't like much current stuff. I feel so old. |
|
I'm Black, early 30s, and usually listen to indie or classic rock.
Besides the new Vampire Weekend, I've also had "Feds Watching" and "Started from the Bottom" on constant rotation. |
Not the PP by my kids will come back with "The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, etc". None of them are rap music kids. They prefer classic rock. My oldest doesn't think good music was made after 1990 and that some of the 80s were debatable. We've apparently raised old souls
