A great haircut (and color if you want/need it) will give you a lift and motivate you to take better care of yourself -- esp. by gettting some exercise and eating right, which make a huge difference. Try Mano at Mano Salon on Wisconsin Avenue in Friendship Hts. I just switched over to him and have had 2 fabulous cuts -- he does such a great job that my hair always looks good -- even though my styling skills are at the level of a 4 y.o.

Get a facial massage. Exfoliate with a scrub 1X per week. Use a clay mask every 2 weeks. Drink at least an extra glass of water before bed.

Slather on moisturizer. Some stuff from health food stores is good, or from the department store Clinique is a very good value for stuff that treats the skin well (moisturizer, all about eyes, serum)... To save $, buy the MALE products.
If you have crows' feet developing around your eyes or mouth, try using pure Vitamin E oil (from health food store) at night. *$7 for about a month supply or so. It's thick. If it doesn't break you out, use it. It plumps everything up for some reason and makes you look like a baby. Gooey at night, all absorbed by morning... but just around the fragile skin. dab dab dab.

Try to exercise to the point of real sweating and then shower/bathe all those salts and toxins off. Always rinse face with cold water, use a toner occasionally if you want to stricken the pores... Moisturize religiously, even if you're having spots.

Drink water and look up how to give yourself a gentle face massage *youtube? without pulling on the wrong things. Relaxing the face muscles after a long day is a big deal. Have a glass of wine when the day is over... and remember the water before bed. Vitamins, especially B complex for women - and eat plenty of natural fats - olive oil, avocados in salad, nuts.
If you need help sleeping, try 3g melatonin. Suzanne? Somers and I swear by the stuff.

You'll be fine. I lost a 130 lbs, went through a totalling hit/run car accident, losing my job, losing my husband to a large woman, losing my mother to dementia, and not receiving my unemployment benefits for 5 months from the time I applied. Now I'm back at uni finishing my degree, and while that's stressful - I look younger than when I was married and I'm with a former model. Life is weird, but the amusement sometimes makes up for it. Good luck!
