Hi. I am in my mid 30's but look about 45 or so - tired, worn out, etc... lack of sleep and stress have taken a toll. What procedures/creams can I use that really make a difference? Any good docs your would recommend in nw dc/chevy chase that does any procedures besides botox? I did juvaderm once and it gave me major sinus problems. Are there any miracle creams? Does Hydroderm work? Thank you!

I am in the same boat - I look so much healthier when I exercise and drink lots of water. I look so old when i don't sleep well. I have tried just about every cream out there and I can't say that any of them have made a difference.

I feel that way too when I catch my reflection in the mirror. I look so haggard! Water, exercise, a good haircut, well fitting clothes, and some lipstick do wonders.

I hate that I have big puffy bags and dark circles under my eyes ... I always feel that it makes me look much older and haggard!

Yes, some new clothes, and MAKEUP. I cant live without my Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer, and some under eye concealer. Brush on some blush, lipstick, and you will feel like a million bucks.

I was looking pretty haggard last winter and a friend of mine turned me onto Arbonne. It has done a lot for my skin and has the best eye cream I have ever used. I don't have the bags or dark circles like I used to.

this made a huge difference for my skin: a glycolic acid moisturizer. if I forget to use it for a few days, I can really tell the difference. it makes your skin look brighter/pinker and smoother and gets rid of the grey dead cells. (i'm 42).

I've tried a couple "dermatologist fancy" ones, but I swear the Olay regenerist one works just as well, and it's $20 instead of $85.

next up: botox in my crow's feet.

Microdermabrasion might work well for you. I did it a few years ago. It really brightened up my skin and made it smoother.
My derm has an office in Fairfax (where I go) and Bethesda. Her name is Saundra Seaman. I'd recommend making an appointment with her or someone like her for a consultation. You can ask what she recommends. I know she does Botox, Retin-A etc. also.

op here- thanks for the input and advice! also just curious i am afraid to use botox because i read that it spread to the brain in rats. does anyone use it? have you had any problems? what about wrinkles on the neck? i don't mind aging but i do mind looking 10-15 years older than others my age! thanks ladies!

I feel like this too! Am also post-partum 5 months and fat to boot.

Can anyone vouch for Bare Minerals? Saw the infomercial at 3 am while nursing, and it made the women's skin look fantastic.

Where at Montgomery Mall can you get eyebrow threading?

Check out Cultura in Chevy Chase. They have an excellent reputation and are written about in the Post and beauty magazines all the time. They do facials and skin care, dermatology, as well as plastic surgery.

I've been to Cultura twice for dermatology and had a pretty good experience overall but I found the front desk receptionist to be just so unpleasant both times. I wouldn't recommend it.
