And I am in the QO cluster.

That is the heart of the matter. They would hang their heads in shame because the Churchill/Whitman/Wootton crowd would give them that "look".

No one in his right mind (except those who are slaves to a GPS) would take 270 to get to Quince Orchard

I voted for WJ if u work in the city.

Wooton has United Sports with the Special Olympics - Hockey.

Although longer commutes to many workplaces I am guessing, unless one works along the 270 corridor.

QO is another 2 or 3 miles out from Wootton. You can live off of 28 and close to 3 different 270/370 exits or hike in the back way. It's not that far out at all.

Sorry, WJ feeders inside the beltway or close-by.
Another 2-3 miles up from Wooton up 270 is way far out. Really. It is.

Quince Orchard is not 2 - 3 miles up 270. Its no more than 2 miles up Route 28.

In fact the Wootton boundary line is about six blocks from the Quince Orchard school building

I get off on 370 for QO and I fully understand where it is as I live in Kentlands.

Churchill, which seems to have been lost in this "how far away is QO converstion" offers further apart houses if that is what one is seeking. And that school is great! And I totally agree, everyone likes different things-houses, yards, commutes, time spend in car, access to shopping and stores, DC etc.

Churchill is a cesspool of drugs and alcohol. Closest thing to Landon we have in MCPS.

The "attendance zone" borders 270 and goes along Clopper Road too.
Do you mean to tell me that these folks who purchase homes, in the QO school cluster, don't drive up 270 but instead go out 28 to get home from Nova, DC, etc.? Doubtful. Not talking using a GPS to get to the school proper! People many times commute home, not to a high school.

Which is why living down there sucks even if the schools are good. She needs real friends.

It also goes to River. So you don't have to live up 270 if you don't want to.

I'm currently looking for new house, so need some opinion
Which district would you prefer and why?
Any input on middle schools in that area are also welcome
I'm kinda know what to expect from Wootton (DS1 is sophomore there), but not sure about Johnson and Chirchill

why do you want to leave? we are in the wootton cluster and are very happy.

And that is a crawl in the evening, a real crawl (and I even get off at Bradley- could not imagine driving out to the Village or even further to where to QO houses must be far far away out River).

We simply need a bigger house, but haven't seen anything that fits our criteria in Wootton cluster so far, have to expand my search

All the talk about QO and such
Right now I live closer to QO than to Wootton, and it is too far in my books, looking for something closer to Rockville/Bethesda

You are living in a dream world if you don't think that all HS have an issue. They all do public and private.
