Its an idiotic move for any charity to fund another charity so the funding should never have been given to planned parent hood to begin with.
They are a foundation. That's what foundations do - give money to other nonprofits.
Then they need to understand that people may not like their choices and decisions of where to give the money. For me, giving money to an organization that I thought worked hard to prevent/cure breast cancer (and I do admire much of what they've done) means that I don't want it to go to a group that supports abortions on demand.
Me, too. I never would have supported Komen if I had known that they gave money to PP.
PP is vile and is an affront against women, their children, and the families of our nation. The fact that Komen reneged and decided that they *would* still give to PP left me completely disgusted.
NP. I think you threw the first baub, when you called an entire organization out of its name. An organization that millions of women have depended on for decades to receive free health care, gynecological exams, birth control, breast examinations, counseling, and yes, abortions. Just because you are fortunate enough to have health care with a thirty dollare deductible, most likely offset by your employer, deos not mean that millions of women have that luxery. So, when you disagree with others it is okay to call something vile. I am not the poster who told you to go fuck yourself, but I would say that you certainly don't care about women and children. Therefore, you are the vile person who can throw a baub, but cannot catch one when someone has a differeing opinion. What have the organizations you support done to provide women with life and choice aand their choice of life.
On the contrary, PP is a beneficial organization that strengthens women, their children, and the nation's families. And, fuck you very much.
