Hopefully this is a wake up call to all who donate to charities to understand how the money is being spent.

I believe that CEOs of these major non-profits work as hard if not harder than those at private firms. But I do have issue with them flying 1st class all over the US on my dollar.

I think they generally fund important work and it is sad if there is less raised for worthwhile causes.

That said, I am glad there is a serious consequence to their, IMHO, idiotic move to defund planned parenthood. If there are no consequences then ninnies that find themselves at the helm will think that their ideas are good.

Its an idiotic move for any charity to fund another charity so the funding should never have been given to planned parent hood to begin with.

They are a foundation. That's what foundations do - give money to other nonprofits.

There should be a separate organization or sub org of planned parent hood for aborting

I am a survivor, marched proudly with Komen in the past three years and was overwhelmed by the support for both me and the cause.

Many of my friends have sent emails saying that while they support me, they are drawing support from Komen. I am behind them. I have spent many hours assuring friends and supporters that is it quite okay to defund Komen.

I don't cast judgement on anyone who gives to charity. If it makes sense to you, do it. But for our family, we are donating to a different charity.
