Oh, sure you do. You'll lie again. YY hasn't done its lottery yet, troll.

If the PP has upcoming K with a sibling at YY and a sibling at Cap City, this would be a real choice. That is possible, but unlikely.

Or thy have a sibling at YY and won the lottery at CCPCS. It occurred this morning so the poster could have attended and found out that they won a spot.

If they have a sibling there, there wouldnt be a need to try YY this year.

I think the poster's child is already at YY and found out that got into CapCity. Don't be so quick to label someone as a troll.

This.

Every year, there are a handful of parents who get unbelievably lucky in lotteries. Last year one of them was a friend of mine; I was really surprised at the way folks accused her of lying when she told her story on these boards.

Maybe oldest child is at YY, younger one got in Cap City for PreS. YY doesn't start until PreK so sibling pref. does no good for that year.

Need 2 spots for PS3:
WL #400s for Haynes
WL #13 for CCPCS
Waiting on LAMB, MV, and DC Bilingual, but not holding my breath.

Did you consider applying to IT, Appletree or Bridges? I see you probably prefer bilingual, but you also had Haynes and CCPCS. Maybe to increase your odds as PS3 can be tough. Guess it's too late (for IT/Appletree, not Bridges) now, but just curious.

Not sure what IT is?

I'm a new transplant to the area (moved from SF in January) and applied to about 15 schools, but those are my top choices, after Stokes. Applied to Bridges, Appletree, CAPCS Butler, Meridian, Doar, Hope, Bethune, Roots.

I'm bummed that I did not know that I had to apply for the DCPS lottery also. Thought it was a given that they would get in if needed.

There are always spots available in DC PS for PreK and PreS - the issue is that the spaces may not be asy for you. Call DCPS and see what they can recommend for you. At a minimum, they will put you on the waitlist if it is reasonable that you might clear it.

#13 for CCPCS I think you definitely have a prayer--maybe even a good chance.

I need 2 spots, so I hope that 14 families decline now with the campus move!

IT should be easier to get into as it is less established. In its first year right now. Stands for the Inspired Teaching Public Charter School.

My DD is #25 on the WL for Two Rivers. Any chance there?

Depends on grade level. I think they have about 300 applicants for PS and PK respectively. There are also quite a few siblings coming in for PS albeit not like your LAMBS, 2Rs, Haynes and Stokes.
