No I am really Type B - I travel with no plan or itinerary at all! I am not career driven, I am a procrastinator and it takes a lot of effort to keep my life organized.

I don't really have an ideal of physical perfection, and once you are with someone and you love them then looks matter even less. It is just that initial attraction to get to the point of being in love with them!

How is your sex drive? I gather it's average to low. Mine is high (woman) and that was one of the factors driving me to get married.

I am the quoted poster and I am 5'9''. I guess I was harsh in saying non-negotiable because If I did find the perfect guy for me except for the height I would let it go and live happily ever after. It is important to me because of the physical aspect I guess, maybe this sounds shallow but as a tall women I have never really been able to have sex standing up so I have always imagined my dream guy would be taller than me and make me feel like a normal woman!!

Um, I'm a 5'6" woman and have never once had sex standing up.

5'2'' here who thinks standing sex is way overrated. The kind where you're being held is just too awkward to really be much fun for more than a minute or so. You always fear you're going to be dropped, and the energy expended on the holding is taken away from the actual thrusting. And before anyone rushes to call me fat, I was 110 pounds at the time and the men were very fit, so that's not the issue.

If you're talking about the kind where you're both standing on the floor, height differences can usually be accounted for by creative positioning.

But you don't want someone with a lot emotional issues around money or someone who doesn't share your values about saving and spending or someone who gambles/takes too much risk.

Don't marry someone selfish. Once you have children, especially, you'll want someone who is generous with his energy and time. (My husband is indefatigable in responding to every little request or need my children have-- almost too much so, for their own sake!)

Sexual compatibility-- You should be in the same ballpark regarding desired frequency. The importance of sex will rise and fall over the course of a marriage, but as long as you can talk to each other about your needs and respect your partner, you should be able to work out the details.

I agree with this 100%, and unfortunately, many of these things become obvious only after you've been married for a while.

That's great, 12:31 - should make dating a lot easier for you! I just know that growing up, in the couples I knew, the guy was generally taller, older, more successful than the girl. Not every couple was like this, but it was the general trend. The average man IS taller than the average woman. And guys do tend to date younger more often than they go older. And the men I know do tend to make more than women in the same jobs. (and are much more likely to support the wife than the other way around.) I'm not saying that's the way it should be - just that it is probably internalized in some people.

I'm 5' 6" and my wife is 5' 10". We once discussed this height issue and she admitted that she never imagined she would have married a guy who is shorter than her. I told her that I always imagined I'd marry a short / bubbly / Jewish girl, to who she relied, and you ended up with a tall / stubborn / Swede. If we had worried about height, we would have missed each other.

Every member of her family is taller than me. A visit wth my in-laws is like a visit to the land of the giants.

And no, have no problem with her wearing high heels when we go out.
