How old were you when you lost your virginity?

Anonymous
21, and he was 28. We had been friends for three-years, and had been dating for three-months (I had just gotten out of a relationship, and he had just called off an engagement....we had been good friends for years, and just kind of ended up dating because we were a "support" system for each other during our breakup)... He was my first, but I was, obviously, not his. We ended up married five years later.
Sometimes I wished I had slept with a few more people (I have no idea why), but most times I am glad that my husband was my first, and my only (as dorky as I AM SURE that sounds...)

Seduced - yes

Molested - no

This explains so much about you.

I was 14 and so was my boyfriend. We had been friends since before I can remember. We attended each other's weddings 10-15 years later. In retrospect, too soon, but I can imagine, and read above, virginity-losing scenarios that would have been much worse for me.

had just turned 18 (freshman in college), he was 21 or 22.

Same here, exactly.

I am shocked by so many of these answers in terms of the age being higher than expected. I keep getting the idea that the great majority of kids are having sex by senior year of HS. Or at least that is what the media makes you think.

this isn't exactly a truly random sampling. I've always heard that the average age for loss of virginity is about 17, senior year of high school. Most of my friends lost it between 17 and 21, with only a few holding out for marriage in their early-mid 20's. I only know a few people who lost it before 16, i think.

I was 13; he was 15 (he's now my husband). We had a breakup of 1 year, so he's not my only (I packed a lot of fun in that year )

Close to 16, with my first fiance. Broke up in a year. I had three other fiances after. Married at 36. Lots of fun in between.

17. During the early 70s.

17, he was 20. He was my next door neighbor, so I guess you can't let your daughter have those either... My dad broke us up but I still wonder if he was the one that got away. I was IN LOVE and very infatuated with him for a good year and a half after that.

17, he was 20. I must say that I thought I was the only one of my friends who was still a virgin when I graduated, but I found out soon after that most of them also waited until around graduation to finally have sex with their bf's (they'd done other things, though). This was back in the early 80's.

is being a slut described as "fun" now?
