How old were you when you lost your virginity?

I've gone through this thread and it's nice to see there were some other late bloomers. In my case it just took 23 years to finally get a clue about these things called females.

I am you. Late bloomer but now I think, so what?

There are probably more than you think but people are embarassed to admit it. Plenty of reasons why: shy, haven't met the right person, not emotionally ready, concerned about how it will go,etc. But we are such a sexually explicit society that we do not allow for people to be like this, which is sad.

We were both 18. We lost our virginity to each other. Sounds romantic, but I wish he'd known what he was doing!

24. One week after the wedding day. Both of us were virgins and we fooled around on the wedding night and tried to have sex three days later but DH could not penetrate. Both of us have no idea what we were doing and DH tried to enter me right away. It took us a month to figure out. I have a PHD and DH has two masters degrees and we could not figure out how to have good sex for a month.

27 to my DH....I was never confidant in high school, and by the end of college was finally coming into myself and gaining confidence about myself! My parents were pretty religious so I think that influenced me.
