If pull-ups are dry in the morning, do you reuse that night?

Clean PJs every day? Who is doing the laundry in these houses?

But we don't actually have any summer pjs for our kids. Its hot, so they sleep in underwear or a diaper.

I don't think there are any real advantages to having everything be so clean. And there are some disadvantages, like not developing a well-rounded immunity to things.

I can't believe how interesting I am finding this thread. Clearly I need help.

Never re-used a diaper or pull-up. New PJs daily and a bath daily. I prefer my children to be clean.

Do you know how much the average person sweats in their sleep? One to two cups. Not to mention the skin you shed. Your ned is probably crawling with mites.

Eek! An insect! Oh my sainted stars, whatever shall I do??

I assume you mean dust mites (I also assume you have no idea what you're talking about). Why should I care, assuming I'm not itchy? They're harmless if you're not allergic. I am intelligent enough not to react emotionally to something as benign as dust mites. We do far, FAR more harm to ourselves and our environment by trying to eliminate every creepy-crawlie on the planet, than a little dust mite could ever do to us.

Please grow up, before you pass your phobia and small-mindedness on to your children. Oh, and do get that body-odor problem checked out.

The sterile freaks probably have the kids with the most allergies too, and the ones that catch every cold and never get to play in the mud. Sucks for them.

I totally agree with you PP (15:21). My kids (both boys) gets baths every night and do not get clean PJS every night. Boys are pretty clean to begin with..house is clean..and they don't sweat at night. I do reuse pullups because it is a waste to throw away a perfectly clean and dry pull up. I realize sometimes a little pee can get into them and when they do I can definitely tell and it is thrown away.

I also don't wear new PJ's every night. They don't smell. My husband doesn't either and he does not small. We don't have dust mites.

And even with all this, I am doing a load of laundry a day.

You and your kids do sweat and you do have mites. Question is, do you care? obviously some care more than others. Luckily the two camps don't share the same homes.

trust me we don't have mites and i am pretty sure my house is cleaner than yours.

Every home has mites. Some have more than most...but they are definitely there.

I don't think the amount of dust mites in your house has anything to do with whether you reuse clean pull-ups.

I don't reuse diapers, and DD isn't in pull-ups yet (soon, I hope!), but I vividly recall having "sleeping undies" as a kid -- i.e. ones I wore under my pj's for a few days, until I changed pj's.

There's a long distance between a "sterile freak" and someone who won't put a used pullup back on their kid. Chill.

The illegally hired nanny, of course.

The sterile freaks are the ones who are responding with "ewwww" to reusing clean pull-ups.

Seriously, your kids with allergies is pretty annoying.

Its so interesting how we're all able to be so snarky here. Its about all the things we want to say to certain friends/family. But in our "real" lives we remain civil and generally polite. I'm fascinated, then repelled, then fascinated some more.
