If pull-ups are dry in the morning, do you reuse that night?

So, let's I take a shower at night and put on clean underwear. If I change my underwear in the morning for work, I should then put back on the old underwear the next night? That's gross! DS doesn't even wear the same pajamas every night. I'm certainly not going to put the same pull-ups on him.

We are in the same boat. We would start nighttime potty training, but our son is still in a crib.

Then there would be no use for the pull up b/c the kid is overnight trained.

success!

So, because I shower every day, sometimes even twice a day depending on working out, etc., I should just keep wearing the same underwear? Yuck.

If you showered right before bed, then yes, you can wear the same underwear you slept in that night the next day. Unless you are yucky down there for some reason like you are on your period or something.

Even if there's no pee, there is general body sweat. I'm in the "yuck" camp.

Pullups are so absorbent that what feels dry doesn't necessarily mean there is no pee. I would never re-use.

I have to agree w/ this. I would never reuse. Anything that has been laying against anyone's (toddler's, adult's) tush and genitals for 11-12 hours should come off and not go back on unless it's possible to launder it (i.e. training underpants).

Don't you hear those little wet farts your kid makes in his sleep? Something's gotta be getting in there I get the desire not to crowd the landfills, but the potential for bacteria, especially for little girls seems likely enough that I would toss it.

Why are people equating kids and adults? Remember that little phase called "puberty"? Your kid in pull-ups hasn't gone through that yet. Absent pee or poop, a toddler's privates are no more dirty than the folds of her neck.

We reuse and haven't had a second thought about it.

i re-use. but dd also doesn't get bathed every nite or get a new pair of jammies either. it's not that hard to tell if there really is pee in there no matter how absorbent the material. the pull-up/diaper will be a little yellow, it will feel heavier, and/or it will smell.

We don't but that is more because our son can get sweaty and hot and I assume it absorbs the sweat. I just toss em.

This may be true for when my kids were newborns, but let me tell you - my 2 YO soaks his pull up when he wets it. There is absolutely no question as to whether or not he peed in it.

New jammies every night? Wow. Thats a lot of laundry that is IMHO un-necessary.

The parents who give their children new jammies every night--do you also wear new pajamas every night?

Wow. That is crazy wasteful. Use up extra water and energy; use up landfill space. Why? Where is your limit? Are you going to start making your kids change their underwear every 6 hours? 4 hours?

Why are people so neurotic about everything?
