eeeeewwww their batter is so heavy! |
...which makes for a consistently moist cupcake. |
Repeat after me - Baked and Wired. That's all you need to know. |
Honestly, I can't, for the life of me, figure out why everyone is so angry at OP. I mean, the nerve of her to ask about a list of table preparations? Really? Her question and vent has all these PP's sooooo angry, yet they judge OP for being angry at Gtown Cupcake? Is that not hypocritical? |
Ah, OP, I think we all owe you an apology. you're right, they do say on their website that they'll help with stuff like this. I'm not surprised to find that their customer service is totally bogus, though. They're probably too busy with their ridiculously bad TLC show to follow through on what they supposedly offer. |
Because Gtown Cupcake is a CUPCAKE business...they do not do PARTY PLANNING or anything associated with it. All OP has to do it freaking google places in this area for her table nonsense issue. Its not that freaking hard but she is lazy and wants to vent about a business that is DOING THEIR BUSINESS! |
No they do not do what OP asked for...not sure what you read. They consult about the cupcakes and suggest options you can have for set up but that obviously does not include giving out vendors. They probably give ideas about colors or what you can buy for the set up but it definitely is nothing like what she wanted. I am not sure how you read into this one pp? |
Maybe the OP came across wrong in her OP, but if you go to the GT website, you'll see that they indeed do market themselves as a company that will help with catering needs and basically do exactly what the OP asked them to do. Except then they said they didn't do it. OP, did you ask them why they couldn't help you with exactly what it says they will help customers with on their website? I'd be curious to hear their response. |
This, to me, says that they would generally provide the kind of help the OP is looking for: "However, our Catering Managers can provide different options and suggestions for set-up and would be happy to help you find the best way to display your cupcakes!" |
|
That posted ugly..
Ummm yeah "suggestions" does not mean building your shower for you or giving vendor names. I am sure Gtown cupcake is careful about recommendations because then they brand themselves to the vendor. I would not do that if I were them. Please... you are getting these hints from their FAQ question section. There is no page for catering need, etc which should tell you they do not do extensive party planning. DUH |
Outrage! A cupcakery or a business in Washington has not done what they promised on their website!
Quick! A cupcakein! A breastfeedin! Boycott! We must mobilize with a facebook page outlining our displeasure at once. Ladies! To the bat-cave! |
I think that OP is a little stressed and things came out the wrong way when she wrote her initial post. So, please everyone cut her a break. Given the fact that Georgetown Cupcake's show premise is that they present their cupcakes at all these events around town, it is ridiculous that one of the catering managers could not direct her somewhere for her display needs. You mean to tell me, they don't know anyone? I find that very hard to believe and that is probably the source of OP's frustration. Yes they are a cupcake shop but they do hold themselves out as so much more, especially on their show. Now if you would have asked Red Velvet or Sprinkles about catering, I would have been shocked if they had a preferred vendor list. But Georgetown Cupcake??? Come on, they just don't want to be bothered. I also had a horrible experience with them for catering for a baby shower. In fact, I cancelled the order and went elsewhere. So, I understand where OP is coming from. |
This - so gross. |
Yes, we believe everything on TV. Do you expect from your contract staff to get your house built in a few days? Do you go to pawn shops and expect it to be like Pawn Stars? |
