Skinny but not toned. I come from skinny stock. In the Bonfire of the Vanities, Tom Wolf writes that women as they age either get to keep their face or their ass. For me, it looks like the ass is 'keeping' because I have the skinny chick-lots-of-wrinkles thing going on.

5'6", 145. size 8. age 36
Definitely heavy when I'm a size 10, VERY skinny when I've fit into size 4.
3 kids under 4. Decently toned but I have wide hips and broad shoulders. I'll never be super tiny and when I get much below 128 pounds I look really gaunt. It isn't pretty.

5'7 and 128. Skinny fat. Need to get into the gym before I scare people when it warms up (sleeveless shirts are not my friend)

Aww, give yourself a break. I doubt this. I'm 5'8", 143 lbs, and I have neither. I think you're probaby just too hard on yourself. I, unfortunately, have the kind of chest that makes everyone go .

Sigh. Really inconvenient.

5'8" and 149, but i'm usually a muscular, lean 140ish. Eating got out of control last summer/fall and I gained 10-14 lbs, but I'm working on it. Workouts: cardio every day (running, arc trainer), weight lifting 3-4 times/week, yoga 2x/week.

5'2" 129 lbs 42 years old. Happy weight is 122 but its been hard finding the balance of eating right (I love food), finding time to exerise and the fact its much harder to lose weight as I've gotten older.

I am damn fat! But I am on WW but not working out and in 2 weeks I lost only 3 pounds. I am going to the gym from now on because I need to lose all these pounds asap!

Please don't lose heart -- you're probably just feeling this way because you know that you'd like to get back in shape and, like everyone else, has difficulty finding time to do so. Unless self-hatred motivates you, it serves no purpose... work with your partner to find time, even just once a week, to do some physical activity you like to do. They say that if you do it for 4-6 weeks, it becomes a habit. Worked for my husband, and he feels (and sleeps) so much better now. GL to you.

I'm 5'3 and I weigh 107-109 pounds.

I'm small-boned and come from small stock.

When I was BFing it was pretty bad - I had to eat so much freaking food to maintain this weight.

I do lightly work out a few times a week (so no running, just walking, yoga, light strength work) and I eat healthy but do have a bit of dessert every night. I have a big sweet tooth and the best way to tame it is to eat a reasonable dessert every night. DH is also pretty lean - he's 5'11 and weighs 165.

5'4" and around 190. I've lost 40 pounds in the last two years and am still working on losing more. I went from a size 18W to a 14. While I know I have more weight to lose I feel better and am stronger than I've been my entire adult life. Plus my husband can't keep his hands off me.
