As soon as you walk through the door someone is asking what they can help you find.

Fisher's Hardware in NoVa..

they have a bunch of folks at the ready to help you find parts and solve any problem, even if your whole purchase turns out to be one 17 cent washer.

I second the nomination for Fischers hardware in Springfield. It's always easy to find someone to help you (they often find you first) and they KNOW what they're talking about.

Whoever asked about Don Beyer Subaru in Alexandria. I also bought a car there earlier this year after my husband had a good experience. I can't remember the salesman's name but he was older, knew what he was doing, gave me a good trade-in. I was in an out with a new Outback in about two hours. The salesman even helped me clean out my old car and move everything to the new car. While we were doing that, he gave me info on the car so that I have only had to skim the manual to understand how everything works. Since then I have gotten relevant emails from Subaru and feel like they actually know what I need.

REI. Best return policy anywhere for members, incredibly patient people who can answer questions about anything - or will find another staffer who can.

Chick Fil-A -- I've always had good, quick service no matter the location.

And they picked a fabulous name for their business! Our beagle doesn't need grooming, but this post almost makes me want to get another dog who does just so we can go there.

Tivo - had a problem that was causing the TV not to work. It was actually a cable issue, not a tivo issue, but the rep spent 45 minutes on the phone with me walking me through how to fix it. LOVE them.

Glover Park Ace Hardware. Impossible to walk more than 15 feet into the store without being asked if you need help, usually by more than one person.

Yup. And you can *always* understand them at the drive-thru.
