| Cherokee woman? |

Just like anything else...
If the woman doing it is attractive, it'll be seen as cute or sexy by most guys and skanky by most women. If the woman doing is it not-so-attractive, it'll be seen as weird by most guys and quaint by most women. |

Let's just say, it's not as cute as you THINK it is...... |
|
I wear two, low pigtails in the summer when I'm wearing a hat. I have a few bucket hats and the pigtails let me keep the hair off my neck in hot weather. I think it's cute, but tend not to wear them any other time.
And I'm 40. Flame away. |

At the beach with loads of conditioner in it. When I'm on deadline and would be pulling it out of my head if it weren't locked up in twin braids. Uh, that's it. Those are the only times I think I wear my hair this way. |
|
I had long hair when I was about 30.
I wore my hair that way a few times to make my dd excited. It was kind of fun, especially when walking on the beach on a windy day. I cannot remember if I wore my hair that way to work, but the guys knew me by then and would not have given it a thought. I did cause a stir when I cut my extra long hair, I had been growing it for years. Long hair is definitely the way to stick out these days |

OP, you asked what we think. Immediately: "Daddy Issues". |
exactly!!! |
| ...AND I'm going gray. Haha! The horror! Hide your kids. |
| I'm a Kindergarten teacher and I'm 40. I often wear my hair in two low, loose ponytails (underneath the ears) with a side part. The elastics are in the same tone as my hair. It keeps my hair out of the way when I'm working (which is imperative to me) and frankly it's more flattering than one pulled back ponytail. Short hair doesn't look good on me and I don't like to pull it back everyday or wear it loose, so this works for me. I have a young looking face anyway and no one has ever given me flack for wearing it like this. Say what you will, but I hope the relationship I have with your child is more important to you than the way I wear my hair. |
| Oh come on...kindergarten teachers can get away with anything. |
