yep me too. pigtails does not necessarily equal braid. |
| cute- you mean a low ponytail(ie not sticking out the side?). And I'm 42 and I would still think it was... cute |
| Cute. Reminds me of Charlotte in SITC. She carried it off beautifully in one episode. And she's not 20-something. |
| Some chicks can carry off the low pigtails. High pigtails = absurd. |
...and she's a desperate loon who constantly makes news because she can't hold onto a man...so I guess that fits. |
| Semicute if the hair is short (between chin and an inch or so below the shoulders). |
Heh heh. God, it's funny how small-minded folks are around here. Harper Valley PTA lives! |

I have short to medium hair. It does not go back in a ponytail at this length. If I want it up off my neck, I have to do pigtails.
I don't wear them to work or socially, but will do this for yard work, grocery store and daycare pickup if it's very hot. |
| Mini skirts and pig tails should never be seen on any woman over 35. It looks ridiculous. Sorry. |

I'm the OP...
It's for me...not someone else. I've worn them around the house and to my parents house but never out and about...and was just curious what the gut reaction was... My hair falls just below my shoulders and I've pulled it into two low ponytails...(not at the top of the head). Thanks for the responses!!

| Very American. |
Shameful, shameful, hussy!!1!

Well, since this is posted on a board for mothers in Washington, DC, USA, that's very fitting. |

I wear mine in low braided pig tails frequently, especially in the summer or if I'm going to have a hat on for a long time like playing in the snow or hiking. I think it's fine.
The naysayers probably think that once you turn 60 you have to cut all of your hair off too. |
I think this is perfectly fine and I do it when wearing winter hats to cut down on static. |
