White woman
37 Hair is beyond her shoulders, but tied into two long pigtails. Cute or stupid? |
| strange unless it's Halloween |
| Or the Beverly Hillbillies. |
| Not past college, at most. |
|
I am one of the younger posters on this board and I would probably think it's cute if I even noticed it.
I am sure everyone else will tell you no. |
| Well, as my good friend in college would say, it can only be for one thing - BJ time. |
|
maybe you're talking about me. I'm 37 and have worn my hair like this. I don't call them pigtails--I call them pony tails. I do two because my hair has layers and if I want to get the side hairs into the pony, they have to be at the sides. I wear them low - at either side of the nape of my neck.
Who cares? I don't wear them into the office. We're talking about going to the grocery store or something! |
| You're describing me. |
| To each his/her own... Are you asking about yourself or someone else? If it's yourself... Than if you want to do it/think it looks cute on you, than go for it. If you are asking about someone else, stop looking for a reason to judge people and just get over it. |
| Sometimes I put my hair in two braids, just to get it out of my face and for something a little different. I wouldn't wear it to work like that, though. I'm 41. LOL |
| I wear mine in braided pigtails all the time. My hair is really curly so it looks funny if I pull it into pigtails with out braiding it, but it would be so much easier. I think its cute. |

Totally fine, but not work appropriate.
Best if at the nape of neck... and/or mum is sort of "alternative" cool in her style, IMO. Essentially, wear it like you own it... and then you do. |
| Either an artist or crazy. |
This seems appropriate, because they're low. 2 high pigtails like a 6 year old would wear? That's just plain old weird. |
A ponytail is not a pigtail. A pigtail is a braid. A ponytail is just hair tied back in an elastic. A single ponytail can be very stylish and chic if done in an elegant manner. Two ponytails? Eh. |
