Op is Gen X |
LOL. I am Gen X. I always call up my good friend Heather and ask her some variation of what her damage is. For real. I'm not kidding. We have been taking care of our mental health since the mid-1990s, so we are Gen-X outliers. I think we watched and rewatched The Breakfast Club, A Beautiful Mind, Reality Bites, Girl, Interrupted, Ordinary People, Mad Love, Pump Up the Volume, Trainspotting and American Beauty and episodes of Party of Five, ER, Family Ties and Facts of Life too many times. Something about the characters' life altering/ending mental health and substance abuse problems got to us. What's up with the Gen X'ers who don't pay attention to their mental health? Did they not watch any of these movies and TV shows? |
Think they were too busy watching revenge of the nerds |

Gen X don't care. |
For older gen-ex - the dot.com bubble bursting in 2000 also set us back. |
Gen-Y are Millennials. |
Most generations could not count on owning a home and building generational. A certain segment of each generation was able to do that. |
THEN WHY ARE YOU PERPETUATING FAKE STEREOTYPES? Yes, I'm shouting at you. You deserve it. Stop clogging DCUM with generation-bashing threads. |

Yeah had never heard of it before. |
Assumed it was a The Boys Spinoff for Gen V sequel. |
I’m a loser baby, why don’t you kill me. |
Actually Millenials are doing amazing financially. They entered job market at the end of GFC and the market and pay went to the moon. Meanwhile GenX has dot.com and GFC at their peak earning years, and many lost homes in housing bust because they couldn’t hold on to the Fed bailout. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/american-millennials-getting-richer-faster-192000418.html |

There are really millions of GenX? I thought it was like a few dozen? |
