One generation passing judgement on another = a practice as old as time

Well your cousin is using it wrong so leave Gen X out of it. Your cousin thinks they had a tough upbringing and wants to play that card in every convo. There's one of those (well a bunch) in every generation! The rest of us in Gen X just did our best and kept it real.

Nope, your turn in the box.

To be fair, there’s a lot of insanity (mis)labeled as gentle parenting and if her kids are grown maybe she’s not familiar with what’s gentle parenting vs gENtLe parenting.

Plus, probably wise for people whose kids aren’t yet young adults to hold fire abt how people’s young adult kids are shaping up.

frankly a ton of genxers did a shitty job as parents be ause they didn't learn from theirs.or they are really involved. no middel ground. but a lot of millenials and gen zers don't want to repeat the crappy parenting from gen xers.

I know, right? It's absurd. OP, you do realize your experiences with a few people from an entire generation doesn't get extrapolated to represent everyone, right?
