Doritos don't taste the same as they did in the 80s. Unfortunately lots of the processed items on here don't taste the same.

Also love Chex mix and buy a bag only when we go camping.
My grandfather used to eat the same lunch every day of olive loaf (baloney with olives) on rye bread and to me that is a perfect sandwich.

What was his condiment of choice?

I remember wishing my mom would buy fritos. Now I buy fritos.

Not that PP, but for my dad, it was Miracle Whip. And that is where I draw the line with nostalgic midwestern food. I think his mom thought it was a diet food. She kept saccharine tablets on the table, too.

I have never had the fresh whipped cream people on here are always bragging about. Spray can and tub only for me. I mix pudding mix into the Cool Whip too.

You're not missing anything. Reddi Whip is the best!!

My aunt and SIL have both made fresh whipped cream - one with a handheld mixer and one with a fancy brand name mixer. I didn't really think either was better than Reddi Whip, but lied and raved about them to be nice.
