These teams might be in McLean League too, or maybe loosely associated:
Highlands Dominion Hills Arlington Forest Overlee |
| The Woodson B league is Fairfax, not Fair oaks and also includes Rutherford. |
Our B meet league is painful because a couple refuse to pre-seed. Multiple open lanes and super slow swimmers in every heat vs one heat. It adds sooooo much time. |
| I don't think that mclean league actually exists. We belong to one of those pools. We definitely have some of those pools as b meet partners, but we also have some not on that list. And who we swim changes from year to year. And the host sets the rules for each meet. So there is no 'league' consistency. |
Yep - no such thing as a McLean league, though many do swim together for convenience. One McLean team has a terrible time keeping B meet partners for reasons discussed upthread. |
Interesting. Our website calls our B meet league “McLean Developmental League.” https://hamletgreenfeet.swimtopia.com/team-handbook |

Do the Alexandria/S Arlington and adjacent teams have a B meet league?
Holling Hills, Hollin Meadows, Stratford, Parklawn, Riverside Gardens, Pinewood Lake, Mansion House, Mount Vernon Park, Little Hunting Park, Lincolnia Park, Waynewood, Hayfield Farm, Highland Park? |
I added two that were missing from the Springfield Burke League. |
Maybe once upon a time such a league existed but doesn’t now. These are just a bunch of pools within convenient driving distance from each other so preferred B Meet partners. We are at one of these pools and our B Meets are with other teams on the list but we set these up independently. There is no league. |
Plus Shouse Village and Dunn Loring |
Our club is only doing four B meets this year, in past years. I think we may have only had three on some years, maybe even only two last year due to rainouts. We do one or two "intra-squad" meets. The thing is ours is a very large and competitive club. Many of the nearby teams won't feature kids in the later meets, so it doesn't really make sense to pack up go to go swim in a shallow(slow) pool that no-one is going to improve their personal best at, just to swim against other kids from our team. Many of the better swimmers skip out on the B-meets for this reason, even if they are eligible for some off strokes. |
No. But these teams have B meets with one another. LHP and Hollon Hills do TT together. Swim against Waynewood etc. |
