In my 50s and want to try edibles for the first time

I'm a dummy when it comes to anything related to this. I have never tried anything like this, ever.

Go to the cannabis store. Ask the helpful workers about options and your needs. Purchase gummies. Start small at first and then go from there.

So why would you want to start now?

Do you regularly interrupt conversations about things that you know nothing about just to criticize random strangers or is it just cannabis that you fear?

They will give you one thing for pain from an injury, another for arthritic pain, yet another to stimulate appetite, another for relaxation. They will also talk with you about how much/little when you're first starting out.

The people who work there are very knowledgeable- go up to someone older rather than a guy in their early 20's.

And what medical training do they have for all this?

They are just “knowledgeable,” per the PP who is also in the “industry.” Isn’t that enough for you?

Of course. It's all such a holistic, healthy, grass roots industry full of knowledgeable and caring people looking out for your best interests, much like the alcohol and tobacco lobbies before it.

I was just a happy consumer relaying my experiences, but you do you. We need a few pro THC threads to balance out the ridiculous scaremongering by a couple posters (probably YOU!) in other threads. Someone asked a legitimate question and are getting some decent responses (again except for you).

The tobacco industry still believes that smoking will help you lose weight.

I can see how this send you into a psychotic break. Taking a 5mg gummy will give you a nice, controlled body high for a few hours.

Complete and utter horseshit. The half like of THC is 6 hours. It's 100 percent out of your system in 8 hours.

This is pp. I was absolutely high for two days. It may have been like 35-40hrs but I was that high. The half life is 6 hrs, but if you have 1000mg thc that’s still 30 plus mg after 30 hrs.

You have to show ID, but pay cash.

Why?

Lol that’s not how half lives work. If the half life is 6 hours, it’s 50 percent out of your system in 6 hours, 75 percent (another half of what’s left) out after 12 hours, etc.

You walk into a store that sells these gummies. Usually those stores are labeled as cannabis dispensaries. You tell the person there that you’d like to buy gummies but are clueless and want advice. Then you listen to the advice and decide from there.

I see the tabacco lobby is still active.

You can go lower than that. I sometimes take one that has 2 mg THC and 20 mg CBD. No one is having a difficult time with that.

This dose gives me the best sleep of my life, as I’m falling asleep. I feel like I’m in a cloud, and I wake up, totally refreshed.
Plus a million

Big fan of gummies, but they do mess with REM sleep, so you might fall asleep and even stay asleep longer, but the sleep quality is lower. If those are problems normally, it's still worth it! Garmin sleep tracking is NOT A FAN though.
It hasn’t been my experience or my mom’s. We both sleep like babies

You can use your debit card. I do

I have two Miele canisters and the one with the smaller powerhead has a very easy to open bottom. My newer one with a bulkier head definitely looks more challenging to open but haven't needed to do it yet. We have a Sebo and that is the easiest to access with a little door on the side. The brush roll slides right out when you open it.

Ma'am, this is a Wendy's.

Unless you started celebrating 420 early today.
