Scarpetta on Amazon Prime ?

No one else thinks it’s over the top too gruesome? I couldn’t take it after the first episode.

I had to skip some parts but stopped watching anyway because it didn't seem to have much going on, just like a basic serial killer/procedural plot. And Jamie Lee Curtis was way too much.

I like to think I know how some of the casting went. NK picked fellow Aussie and good friend Simon Baker, who put in a good word for “The Mentalist” co-star Amanda Righetti (the red-head version of Jamie Lee Curtis’s younger self, the absent-mom age one.)

This is going to be a classic series. So bad it's classic.

What are the odds of the space junk falling in VA vs in the Indian or Pacific oceans? Then she took their tempatures to determine time of death when the space craft had broken apart in the atmosphere, which one would think would have a bit more impact on a human body.

Way to ruin a great book.

I’ve read all the Kay Scarpetta books as a crime weirdo

Of all places for spaces debris to land. Water? No. Another country? No. It conveniently falls from space into a Farmer's field a short distance away from the headquarters of the company the owned the space lab.

I'm out after episode 2. I'm interested in a mystery where the wrong guy was blamed for multiple murders years ago.
And I found the two male leads refreshing. I loved that they were older and attractive - no filler faces.

But it was impossible to watch JLK and NK characters scream at each other. And Lucy interacting with her dead AI wife was strange.

And all the flashback scenes - this show hurt my brain.

Once they had the space debris and car fight with K & B i was done.

Believe it or not the ai wife is in the books…and she turns evil lol

It was. I was watching on a small screen and just fast forwarded. They seemed to use too-long lingering shots in showing us the naked victims as well. That disgusts me. It provides nothing to the narrative.

That part was ridiculous. I haven't read any of the author's books since Super Lucy came in to play. Are they really this bad?

While the farmer is out in the field so we get to see the entire range of his acting ability.

I adore NK's wardrobe in this. Probably hard to carry off if not her specific body type, but I covet it. Perfectly tailored and minimalist with nice, subtle color combinations.

She does so many things exceptionally well (including looking amazing in the right clothes for her body). Acting is probably be her weakest talent.
