Also space debris and Russians.

I haven’t watched it, but there was a storyline where Lucy made an AI of her wife Janet.Cannot remember which book it was

I just watched the trailer and the best part was the author making a cameo. But no. Looks awful.

I don't care, Simon Baker!

He's amazing in the extra super close up argument scene. I think he has untreated rosacea.

Nicole Kidman is weird looking and can’t act. Even her voiceover during the autopsy is poor, sounds like shes had a few and her dentures are loose.

Why?

Director is David Gordon Green of "Halloween" "fame".
NK has not directed any of her projects, as far as I know.

What a mess. No one would put up with JLC character. And Marino was NOT married to her in the books. They threw everything but the kitchen sink in the first episode. Im soo disappointed. It was just bad.

Reading these two sentences back to back cracked me up and is something I would think and say.

They are married in the books. There were a few recent ones which parts of this episode is based on. Agree with the rest.

There are some other plot points and characters that have been changed. The casting is terrible. What a disappointment.

I’m surprised no one has brought up how gruesome it is. I have a high tolerance but can’t take it. I can’t watch it.

She's the exec producer. So the "they" is NK.

Marino's character is ridiculous as well. The well known actors are overacting everything except for Kidman. She is just whispering through most of the episodes. The Lucy character is overbearing as well.

OMG I hate Kidman's whispered delivery. The contrast between her unnatural face and JLC is jarring.

Please someone other than NK create and produce a show for someone other than NK.

She and Marino are not married, preventively involved in the books. You’re thinking of Benton Wesley.

The dialogue is so bad as to be unintentionally comical in so many places. This is a series drinking games will be built upon.

To correct someone upthread, I think there were 3 directors and one million producers.

The series does look like multiple high school drama club groups directed different parts of this mess.

But people - JLC's wig. How can this not be the hot topic in these posts?
