This is true. What about enforcement of existing laws targeting the big businesses and companies across the country? The factories? |
Actually a solid strategy. Everyone, even illegals has to eat. Plus you can follow them back to the group home and pick them up in bunches. |
Memphis has the highest per capital crime rate in the entire country. Alaska had the highest violent crime rate of any state in 2024, at 724.1 incidents per 100,000 residents, followed by New Mexico (717.1), Tennessee (592.3), Arkansas (579.4) and Louisiana (519.8). VA is 217.9...63% LESS than TN. |
Those workers were all on valid guest-worker Visas helping set up the Hyundai plant. None of those workers had any intention of remaining and Trump and the administration had to grovel to the South Korean government to beg for those people to return to the US. |
Counterfactual.

So...why did Trump et al beg them to return? The White House on Monday moved to limit the fallout of an immigration raid at a South Korean-owned battery plant in Georgia on Sept.4 — a move that angered the U.S. ally and sparked concerns regarding foreign investment in the U.S. Amid backlash and concerns over how the raid could disrupt efforts to bring manufacturing back to the U.S. — a move called reshoring or onshoring — Trump, in a post on Truth Social Monday, stressed that foreign workers are “welcome” in the country. Trump said that he wants foreign companies building complex products, machines, and various other “things” to bring skilled employees to train the domestic workforce, though he emphasized that these foreign workers are expected to return home eventually. “If we didn’t do this, all of that massive Investment will never come in the first place... I don’t want to frighten off or disincentivize Investment into America by outside Countries or Companies,” Trump said. Meanwhile, Christopher Landau, a top U.S. diplomat, expressed regret over the immigration raid in a meeting with South Korean counterparts over the weekend, suggesting that the event could be used as a turning point to strengthen bilateral relations, according to the Korean Foreign Ministry. Landau also said that South Korean workers will face no disadvantages in reentering the U.S. and that Washington would strive to prevent similar incidents. |
Yes, Memphis has a crime problem, and you can explore the reasons. Most places in TN are very safe. |
So then why is TN as a whole the 3rd most dangerous state in the country? It’s not all due to Memphis. |
It is primarily Memphis. Nashville has seen an uptick. Progressive policies have not helped but the national guard in Memphis made a difference. We will see what that does to crime stats in a few months. |
| Oh and with the uptick of illegals they do not have driver's licenses. They drive without a license and they are fine with getting fined for it if they are stopped and guess what. You are Sol because they have no insurance if they crash into you |
Man, I don’t understand what drives people to be this hateful. I think you really need to look at yourself and evaluate why you hate people you don't even know so much. |
+1 Youngkin is to blame for the “VA governor policies” for the last four years. |
Maybe they were abused as children? Brain injury? |
