GDS Student Newspaper posts about the horrible incident

It appears this was meant to happen during a very time quick period -- a five minute class transition. Does this mean that the victim went straight to class after the incident? I am inclined to believe victims too and it would be beyond tragic to have such an incident take place. That said, there are some elements that have a Jussie Smollet quality to them -- but there is also a lot we don't know. For example, it would seem that the race of the perpetrators should have been identifiable even if faces were disguised. So that would immediately rule out some kids and rule in others, depending on that detail. The mask/masking suggests that this was premeditated. Were they going to do it to someone/anyone or was it the victim specifically targeted? Are there hallway cameras/footage? Or was the reporting too far after the incident? The letter from the parents was very sincere and they are clearly looking for help in corroborating.

This behavior above is SICKENING. perhaps you are too scared to admit this could happen in a school that promises to be a home away from home, but to say this is implausible is SO bad. May your children NEVER go through something where you OR ANYBODY else says that it doesn’t sound plausible. You should be ashamed.
And to say that bc there are two a secret couldn’t be kept? I would say these kids have a pretty strong reason to keep their mouths shut. To say this family is unhappy with the school and imply this is payback leads me to this anonymous is with the administration. Like anybody would do that bc they’re unhappy with a school.

Anybody from anywhere? That’s called denial my friend. You think some hoodlums walked in off the street and did this😂😂 way to believe kids. It’s been. A YEAR PLUS of this family trying to work with the school and all they asked for was for the school to share that an incident happened. And the school could have said we are doing our best but want to be proactive. But nope. Swept it under the rug. And if the cops said there was no evidence that it happened the school had further reason to send a letter but the cops said it is credible but they need more info. The school is hiding this FOR A REASON. And anybody above who isn’t believing this is part of the admin. I am sure of it (like I’m actually sure).

But the family made the allegation, the school and the police investigated, there wasn’t sufficient evidence to charge anyone with a crime or to take action against a perpetrator and that sort of seems to be where this has to end. Horrible and disturbing things happen in school environments, but so do false accusations.

Again I want to point out that somebody said above if your kid was accused of something awful….

If my kid was accused of something awful my LAST THOUGHT would be worry about what others thought. My first thought would be what happened and why and getting all the facts.

To say a child who is sexually assaulted is making a false accusation reeks of a parent who is (BEST case scenario) panicked and in denial (if their kid is a student there) or just an ignorant person. People need to believe kids. I would hope you would believe yours if this happened even if the cops said this is credible but we have no evidence to move forward.

I am dying to know what this family is. Attorney thinks about the email they sent to the community. As a parent, I am a little disturbed that this family had access to all of the parents and many student’s email addresses.

Does the alleged victim truly have no inclination of who it was even if they were masked? No inkling? The school seems too small for that to be the case. And was this just a random act? And if they do know than surely they have told the police who they think it could be?

I would bet good money that admin knows who the alleged perps are, as do the GDS parents (see PP who lamented that the accused are on her child’s grade)

NP but you're drawing an unwarranted conclusion here. The police said that the allegation was credible but that they didn't have sufficient evidence to charge anyone. That doesn't mean they think it's a false accusation, that means they can't figure out, or don't have sufficient evidence to prove, who did it.

Leaping from "no charges" to "therefore kid is a liar" is not rational and doesn't even align with what the statement the article attributes to the police.

An 11 year old may be so traumatized during the incident that they don't remember even basic details like that. They're a child.
