I suspect at least ten families will be leaving because of this.

Hopefully that includes all of the insane people posting on here about “Russel” and the Epstein files lol.

It's not insane. The school hired a private investigator that had a checkered past, a US government 20 year sanction, multiple allegations against them from parents at other schools. Even if the Epstein angle was unknown at the time the firm was hired, the rest of this WAS known.

Stop minimizing.

It’s not minimizing when there is, you know, literally no evidence. If you want to remove your kids, in the unlikely event that you are actually a parent, get after it. Pretty sure the school will be able to source a replacement.

First off, I'm a 15 year parent at the school - 3 kids.

Your comment is truly unhinged. In this thread, multiple people have posted pre-2025 real, substantiated legal issues that T&M faced with federal regulators and with parents at other schools, not to mention T&M's deep involvement w/ the Israeli government (which I understand some will like and others will not). These are all very relevant and the fact that GDS either does not know how to do diligence OR ignored using something as simple as....GOOGLE to look up their critical investigatory vendor is actually quite material to how the school is being run and decisions are being made.

The fact of the matter is that you are a lone voice is gaslighting these facts. This is not about Epstein (though Epstein's brother did hire T&M but GDS owuld not have known that in March 2025). The rest....they would have and should have known.

I know for a fact that seveal top level school administrators and board members hang out on this forum so I'm sure that is the case here

Even if everything about T&M is totally true, it's a bit of a leap to go from making a poor choice of an investigatory firm to some kind of pre-meditated coverup of a crime. The bottom line is that the kid didn't report anything, teachers and other students didn't notice anything, there is no evidence according to the cops and everyone else. It might have been a horrible event or it might not have happened. The school can't really do more (or shouldn't do more) than they did.

sure that is fair - that is entirely different from minimizing the fact that GDS picked a firm with a checkered past. They did.

And that it worded the first email that was sent to parents the way it did . . .

OK, CHATGPT!!!! With the bullet points.

The police said the claim WAS credible but that they didn't have enough evidence to find the perpetrators. That's exactly why the family is hoping the community can help -- someone knows something.

GDS has not been at all helpful in gathering more information, and in fact is doing everything they can to keep people from sharing what they know.

1. MPD saying the initial complaint was credible enough to investigate does not mean it is still credible post-investigation. And credible for the purposes of investigating is a very low bar.
2. GDS followed best practices and what MPD instructed it to do. They hired an independent investigator and did not (per MPD directive) issue a general call to the school for information.
3. MPD and the investigator found no further evidence.
4. Your assertion that GDS should have done more or is engaged in a cover up is wholly fabricated and unsupported.

I'm not the poster you are responding to, therefore I just point out that that one is FAR from a lone voice on this forum. And it's not gaslighting to say that there is no evidence. The only people making up completely unsubstantiated things are those claiming a massive cover-up. No cover-up was necessary, because there is *literally no evidence* that an assault occurred, given that the allegation was only made months later.

An organization engaging in a cover up wouldn’t have its own newspaper reporting the story. Imagine that- a school protecting the confidentiality of a minor. I just don’t see an “Epstein” scandal here. Sorry.

It looks like GDS made a desperate edit at 1:00 A.M to the student newspaper article. Pretty pathetic.

Something totally within the control of the school…

They should have modeled respect for the victim and his family, been transparent and shared a copy of the report.

Nobody here has any idea the reasons for GDS not sharing the report, but I’m comfortable with “we don’t legally need to and it was an internal review.” GDS was not doing a criminal investigation. That’s law enforcement’s role. I’m terribly sad that this child is traumatized and if he was raped as he alleges, this is horrible. But nobody is responsible for the lack of leads months and months after the alleged incident. Blaming GDS and Russell is not justice.

That was weeks ago. It was a correction of the title to be more accurate with the police findings. So find another place for your outrage.

Keeping secret reports is exactly what the Catholic Church did.
