My daughter is at a 56/44 female school and is very pretty, athletic, size 0-2, smart, well dressed--all the things---and is overlooked by guys because she's one of hundreds if not thousands on campus just like her.
I sometimes wonder if this generation of girls will start dating each other. They are spending their late teens and early 20's completely celibate because of lack of any opportunity and yet they have sex drives, etc. |
They will all just share a boyfriend, these loose “situationships” are already a thing. |
So a friend group all f&*cks the same guy on a rotating schedule of days? Like sister-wives? I'm not seeing this. I'm seeing girls just going through college celibate. |
lol no I should have been more specific but this is hilarious. I mean it’s going to be a ton of open non committal relationships and very few serious ones. In my mind if a man is dating and sleeping with multiple women for a certain period of time with no commitment, that’s just sharing a man. |
That’s how the math works if the gender ratio is 60:40 for college attendance. Every third girl is single, or dating a girl (unlikely), two out of three girls share a boyfriend, or they date non college educated men. Or a combination of those. Given the dating patterns of people dating others with similar background as themselves, my guess is that non traditional trouples will be more common in the future. It’s not going to be different once they graduate, the group will keep their educational background through adulthood. Educated women will have a harder time finding a partner. Btw the situation is gender reversed for non college educated people. |
You are delusional. Public elementary classrooms are more disruptive and wilder than ever. Misbehavior is rampant. Gone are the days of well-behaved kids sitting quietly at their desks while the teacher instructs from the front. This is no longer the expectation. And no one is “sanctioned” that’s for sure. The bad behavior just keeps on keeping on. |
| Girls are more organized and have been executive function in the teen years than boys- which is why they do better with college admissions. But the boys still end up getting the better and higher paying jobs later on. |
+ a million |
I think many of them are actually doing this |
| I don't think you realize that a lot of boys are held back already. Son is a late May birthday. Knows two kids that share his birthday and both were held back. He knows one boy in his grade that his younger than him. One of his friends in his grade is older than his older brother who is a grade above him. |
It will eventually catch up. Women are outnumbering men in both medical school and law school. It’s just finance and engineering that hasn’t been cracked yet. |
My now husband went to Loyola Chicago and loved the lopsided ratios |
| This thread is so depressing. My DD is excited to go to college next year and date men not her girlfriends. She doesn't want to "share" a guy with her girlfriends or be celibate. |
Is she open to dating someone that didn’t go to college? |
|
It’s all real. DD at T10.
So many gay guys. Very few dating eligible and every girl likes the same guy. |
