AS will make your kid a tougher player. Instagram ball skills don’t cut it in ECNL. No club will develop your player, you do that on your own time. Once the landscape shifts, all this high‑school recruiting VDA keeps relying on is going to blow up in their face. They don’t develop — they poach.
And now they’re finally getting a taste of their own medicine. NVA is taking their players left and right, including the entire 2012 boys team.
Pretty soon they’ll be begging to join MLS or GA. The landscape is changing fast, bud.

Is NVA taking girls players or boys players from VDA? Both? Is NVA poaching those players? Is that recruiting? What is poaching? What’s VDA’s medicine? Are players and parents forced to join VDA, bud?

When NVA recruited 10+ players into the 09 girls 09, was that poaching? Also when they did that with the 08 roster, was that poaching? I’m trying to keep up with developing vs poaching vs recruiting.

If somebody plays FVU then goes to NVA then goes to VDA. Is that poaching?

What’s the landscape shift, bud? NVA leaving ECNL forcing all of their mediocre to good girls players to go to NVA, Arlington, BSC, and VDA?

I think what the weather delay and the new February 1 really means is that coaches are trying to poach top players from each other just by making calls since tryouts are not happening. So then the question is whether current teams coaches know that their players are being poached.

You're all sore losers who use the term "poach" in an effort to develop a narrative or cast any other club in a bad light. Poaching implies something was taken "illegally". If a kid/family decides to leave one club for another it's just business. Two parties agreed to this decision.

It's recruiting, pure and simple. However, it hurts your man child/cry baby feelings that a kid would want to leave one club for what they perceive, rightly or wrongly, as a better situation. Cry more, losers.

I’m PP and I did not mean “poach” the way you’ve described it. I agree poaching is normal and not a negative thing. Players should go where they want to go. All I’m saying is that although tryouts aren’t happening, deals are being made and kids are being recruited.

Yes a few did not make the trip to VDA last year. With RP now at Arlington 2011s are leaving.

When you do not have 4-5 teams below like Alex or SYC, it will be low turn out because there are not many girls trying to trade up. Also I think older than U13 NVA teams have been very unhappy about the level of competition in GA. Anyone close to recruiting age has been trying other clubs all winter.
