Huh? The safety school comment is what she was told when she originally posted her DC's profile. So vile!

Yet another reason OP needs to quote the original posts she is responding to so we can see. The fact that has not happened tells me that OP may be exaggerating. Tut, tut.

Oh you again.

Congrats are in order if OP is willing to help future Williams apps. Why do you think your unhooked kid got into Williams ED, OP? Absent that, congrats are never in order for snark.

this is not snark. this is a person saying, don't let strangers on the internet influence you. even the idea that this person knows why her kid got in is misguided. nobody knows. run your own race! don't forget to TRY!

this happens every day here. If you haven't read that here, you're very new

Why are parents on this thread so incredibly rude? Do you behave like this in real life?

This is so true; I come on this forum and I think my 3.5 GPA child is like Lenny from Of Mice and Men, the way everyone on this board has someone gunning for an Ivy, and then go on the fb group “colleges for awesomely average kids”, and I think my kid’s a genius. It is good to get multiple perspectives.

They must be incredibly bitter people in real life. Best wishes to their DCs.

I mean- that also describes OP. I’m sure their kid daughter doesnt know or care what some rando on an anonymous board thinks about this. Why would you still be thinking about this? (And no, I didn’t make the comment or know what thread OP is referring to)

+1. OP is being obnoxious. Surprised that so many are joining in her self-satisfied pile-on. But I shouldn’t be: they are obnoxious too, especially in crowds.

Oh, no, I am assuming OP is exaggerating, if that’s what you mean. If you don’t think OP is doing that, you are the one who is new.

With a sign off like, hope your kid likes their safety because that's where they'll end up because you gave your kid terrible advice.

it was so mean and personal. And hey, I didn't give my kid any advice. Anyway, they got into Williams ED.

So, this is just a self-bragging thread that your kid got into Williams?? So shallow.

I think OP has an idea. If you want to start a TRY thread because, gosh golly, you might get in, please do so. (If the lesson you are gleaning is that one should apply ED to Williams because there, after all, is a chance you could be admitted, this is going to be a really helpful discussion.)

I have no affiliation with this school, but it's clear to me that this person had a kid rejected. Otherwise, why would would even care enough to be so mad?

There's a different Williams hater (also Pomona hater, and general SLAC hater, and Chicago hater, etc) who thinks nobody gets in. I mean, nobody is yelling that nobody gets into Harvard. Yeah, these are schools that take 1 out of every 10 or 20 kids. You're not breaking news .. no need to say this every single post.
You can’t not name the college and name all these other colleges, rightly or wrongly. Be consistent: Midd.

They are just trying to avoid summoning the troll. If you've been around DCUM for very long it's hard to avoid running into this particular troll unless you ignore every post about SLACs.
