We've had a revolving door of superintendents since Jerry Weast. Lack of interested candidates has made the search very tough and that will only continue.

Because what capable person in their right right mind would want the job?

Actually it doesn’t, esp. once you factor in COL in MoCo.

It pays very well. Always a draw.

I think we already have that rep. MCPS is always in the news for one scandal or another.

Let’s not pretend that the only problem is system itself. Parent attitudes are off-putting as well.

It must be so hard dealing with parents who don't want sexual predators around their kids s/

I don’t think those people are the problem at all. I’m a survivor of CSA. It wasn’t school-related, but I support whatever background checks are rolled out

(Or I should say, I don’t people who really are concerned about predators are a problem. The religious bigots who think having a picture book about a gay uncle’s wedding or a trans kid is p0rn are a problem.)

The problem parents are wasting time and taxpayer money distracting the BOE with other stuff. The people who want to destroy magnets because their kid didn’t get in, for example.

As far as I can tell Thomas Taylor is the main person driving the push to destroy the magnets. Who else is pushing for this? I don't know any parents that want this.

Then you are very lucky.

Sure Dr. TAYLOR

Who said there's a list? Y'all are dreaming if you think this BOE is going to push Taylor out.

Won't there be a new BOE in a year?

There'll be a half-new BOE in December.

I think he'll resign in under a year.

Some who can make sure that MCPS submits the virtual learning plan for snow emergencies that it said it would do in 2024.

Submit for public comment? Sure. And it should be rejected if it looks like anything like what MCPS has done in the past.

That's the only way he'll go, is if he wants to go.

That last half-new BOE we elected didn't change the dynamics of MCPS. Why do you think this new crop will?
