There are NOT mighty fine people on both sides.

It's not complicated. As a LEO family. ICE is breaking the law, not following procedures, not following the constitution and many of them are criminals.

This can't be discussed because there are no "two sides" there is the constitution and what it says and what is being done is against the law and the constitution.

Until a court orders ICE to leave Minnesota, what ICE is doing in general is not breaking the law or unconstitutional. Most people reaching for "the constitution!" have no real idea what is actually in the constitution. Given that despite intense opposition from Minnesota government officials, ICE is still in Minnesota tells you it is actually not breaking the law or unconstitutional. We can certainly debate the behaviors of certain ICE agents, or even protesters, but ICE is not operating illegally until a court officially says so.

Look, it was in defiance of the laws that Biden's administration waved in 10+ million illegal migrants and let them disappear for all practical purposes. Biden's people also blocked Texas and Arizona from wanting to be more proactive in stopping the migrants from coming across the border, and despite the unhappiness these states complied, because constitutionally they had to defer to the US federal government.

That's why this situation is filled with complex nuances and no one's hands are "clean" by any stretch of the imagination.

It is against the law to profile, it’s against the law to break into homes without a warrant. It’s against the law to stop a car without probable cause.

Trump did an unbelievably terrible job with immigration his first time around and the only reason he’s doing what he’s doing now is because he’s pissed that Obama did a better job. This has nothing to do with Biden.

I have no problem with him lawfully deporting every single solitary brown skinned person. Just don’t break the law.

Scalia is rolling in his grave right now.

Minnesota has 130,000 undocumented people. Texas has 2 million, Florida has almost 2,000,000.

Yep, they’re not deporting people in those states the way they are in Minnesota. Interesting.

Everything Trump does is a retaliation for something else. This has nothing to do with immigration..

Do you know how many people went to jail in Trump’s first administration?

What they’re doing is illegal unfortunately the wheels of justice move slowly, but all these ice agents are going to end up in jail and they’re gonna lose their houses. They’re gonna lose their jobs. They’re gonna lose everything they have.
Their families are gonna be destroyed.

You don’t understand law-enforcement, and if you talk to somebody who understands law-enforcement, they would explain to you how illegal all of this is.

Of course they are. But the Governors of Florida and Texas aren’t offering up their own citizens lives by encouraging “protests.” Hence they are not in the news.

Offering up their lives? Are you saying people shouldn’t peacefully protest because federal law enforcement will shoot them to death if they do?

Hmmm

Blocking agent vehicles during an active operation is not a “peaceful protest”. Chasing them down with whistles is not a “peaceful protest”. Busting into the hotels they are staying at is not a “peaceful protest”.

Any statements that I am missing? Do your students report discussing it at school? Disappointed by my school's complete lack of response.

Many publics have had student-led walkouts.

Have any private school students done walkouts? Why not?

Meaningless performative virtue signaling? No thanks.

It's not "virtue signaling" when one or more classmate's parents have been taken away. It can be very supportive.

I don't want our school to make a statement or organizing anything. I will support my children of they choose to speak up because it is righteous.

I do hope that this encourages our history teachers to focus more on the American Revolution and less on Chinese laundromats and whether the Equal Protection ended racism.

No one is doing that.

Peper spraying people on the ground is not horrifying to you. Pepper spraying babies????? Shooting someone in the back??
MAGA cult of anti American shits

When you're not even going to admit the facts, it's pointless to debate people like you. Both people in the MN incidents were actively impeding law enforcement operations. That is not contested. Pepper spray is typically used as a front line defense by law enforcement officials to control crowds and "protesters" who will not obey orders to leave. That is exactly what is going on here. If babies are pepper sprayed, why do their parents have them in that situation in the first place?

Yet the agents have resisted shooting people to death in those situations. But driving home after dropping your kid at school? Nope. Shot in the head by someone standing next to the vehicle.

Hmmm

She was not driving home. She’s on video blocking traffic for literal minutes, taunting the officers. You can argue if she was trying to either drive away or drive into the officer at the moment she was killed, but it’s a flat lie to pretend she was randomly shot after a school run. She intentionally went after the officers and used her vehicle to block them in.
