There are unfortunately two local clubs who ruined the chance for their players to get the most from the opportunity and experience

They made life miserable for the parents and players in regards to participating in the program. Blocked the kids at every turn.
Sad

For those of us without a DCU kid, would you be willing to share: are these U13/U14 boys? Which clubs do they come from mostly? Which clubs blocked the kids?

futures is u14, but there were some 2013/14 and even 2011 in the pool. SYC had the most kids of local clubs, with arlington, vda, bethesda, alexandria, balitmor armor having the bulk of the rest

How can a 2011 U15 be in a U14's future roster pool?

2012 playing up.

Was really just curious if parents of this year's futures found it to be a good experience and worth the weekly drive. Sounds like they did. Best of luck to everyone in the spring season.

We were in the program. It was worth it. The drive is not bad for everyone depending on your location. One maryland location, one va location. The practice was indoors but mostly useful to have eyes on you. Some of the kids from "banned clubs" did get to do 1 tournament in December in Philadelphia. It also puts you on radar for US ID sessions if your coach does not select you. Good luck with your journey.

~40. Not all will get offers but can’t say how big a roster they’ll carry.

Some of these were 2013 so most of them will not be considered in the u15 offer pool but for the u14 futures program.

Offers started going out last week if that’s what you mean. Some kids posted on IG.

Do you mean that invites started going out for current U13s who will be U14 futures next year? Or for current U14s to join DCU Academy next year?

Current u14 to join the academy.
