Our son loved the experience and it was more than worth it He enjoyed so many firsts such as traveling with a team and staying in team hotel without his family. Playing against international clubs from Europe and Mexico and at least 4 MLS club academies, and doing well It was great |

Was there any cost involved?
|
no |
However, you still have to pay for your club fees.
|
Why wouldn't you expect to pay club fees for your parent club? The question was obviously about the DC U14's |
| How many u14 futures are there? Are all futures going to be the new u15 squad in the fall? |
~40. Not all will get offers but can’t say how big a roster they’ll carry. |
Assume can't be more than 25 per league rules |
28 is the max per league rules |
From MLS Next site Rosters Roster Minimum: 14 Primary Players per Team Roster Maximum: Maximum of 24 player average per MLS NEXT team within a club (ex. U15 can have 25 players and U17 can have 23 players) Matchday Roster: 18 players per Team |
That is 2023-2024 season. This is the current season. https://images.mlssoccer.com/image/upload/v1754861192/assets/mls-next-resources/MLS_NEXT_HD_Technical_Standards_2025-26_Final_gjplo0.pdf |
| When do kids usually get invites for this? |
Offers started going out last week if that’s what you mean. Some kids posted on IG. |
Do you mean that invites started going out for current U13s who will be U14 futures next year? Or for current U14s to join DCU Academy next year? |
Not PP but the latter. Offers will be out by end of month for next season u15. Not sure about current u13s and future pool but presumably that won’t come til the spring. |
