The last two World Cups were held in Russia and Qatar. FIFA and wealthy soccer fans are perfectly happy to support authoritarian governments. They supported Putin. They supported the Emir of Qatar. Trump is a non-issue for FIFA and the global rich. The stadiums will be full for the major games. Rich soccer fans haver demonstrated over and over again they couldn't care less about politics or repression in host countries.

Stadiums will be full for every game. Americans are not just sports fanatics, they’re event fanatics. For most Americans this will be their only chance to attend a World Cup match.
