I wouldn’t send my kids to school in CO. Locals thinks it’s good, but by comparison to other parts of the country it’s not even close.

An acquaintance (single, no kids) recently moved from the east coast to Wyoming. Great area for her outdoor hobby. I’m so jealous.

I’d pick a region, like the southwest or the PNW, then look for a LCOL city there that would check enough boxes that I could live there (eg, not total suburban sprawl that requires me getting in the car for every destination) and that provides good access for exploring the region. Stay for a year or so then pick somewhere else.

I would love to actually be able to do this. Maybe someday.
