But with kids in the NE, I’d stay in the NE.

We just left Maine. Remote work helped drive up home prices to insane numbers. The natural beauty was astounding but I am happy back in mainstream Midwest. We sold $310K over what we bought for in 2017.

Sure! I have been here for 7 months and am in the Uptown area. I have always wanted to live in New Orleans - there's just something about this city that draws me in. I am lucky to work remotely and my partner took a remote job, so we moved down from DC. We pay less for everything and the city has everything we need, but I do miss Sweetgreen . Everyone is very friendly and approachable. I don't mind the heat and didn't find summer to be that much worse than DC, it just lasts a lot longer here. It was a great decision for us.

If we had enough money I would move to coastal California somewhere.
