| We have a business with electronic code access (door is always locked) and delivery services have an entry code, but Amazon drivers will drive through and claim the business was closed, a few times they have left packages at a bar across the alley. A part that was ordered didn't show up, they said it was delivered, no photo showing the delivery (sometimes they do, sometimes they don't). Said it was left "at reception". A new part was ordered. Later I discovered the package with the part had been stuffed between an outside bench and the wall of the building, only because I dropped something and was looking for it. |
| None. Take it up with your homeowners insurance or credit card. |
| My mom did get Amazon to replace stolen products recently. Not sure how irate she had to be. I was surprised. They were just a few books do not much $$. Maybe they just wanted to make her happy. |
That's terrible to live in a neighborhood where theft happens "all the time." |
This is clearly your fault. You need to pay for a box and have it shipped there. Having an always locked business and expecting packages is foolish. |
|
OP, darling. You have a camera. The camera saw the package. Why didn't your camera notify you of the package? Why didn't you look at the camera footage while you were waiting for the package?
Why do you have a camera if you don't look at it? |
The camera did notify her. She just didn't want to check the notification. |
| Imagine if the seller said "sorry, someone stole your purchase from our warehouse. Sorry, no refund!" |
| I don’t believe they re responsible, but a lot of retailers will send a replacement if you ask. |
| Both Amazon and Kohls have replaced missing packages without question for me. |
Yes. You have to note signature required. And if it isn't an option, then call/text to see what you need to do to get signature required. |
This makes no sense. If it was stolen from the seller's property, of course they are responsible. They delivered it to OP's property. It is now OP's responsibility to get the box off her porch. |
I think the difference is that Frye is a small retailer, not a behemoth. And Amazon has a significant partnership with Kohl's. They can afford to replace for good will, customer service reasons. With as much porch pirating as there is now, a small retailer couldn't afford to replace. |
Then I wouldn’t shop there again. |
Totally makes sense. Hold the company that had nothing to do with the package being stolen accountable. That will solve the theft issues in the neighborhood. |
